Monthly Rewind & Forward [June 2026]
Welcome to Monthly Rewind & Forward for June 2026
How was your month, dear reader?
Mine was inspiring, and not by accident. I had to be intentional to get there. After a few months of doom and gloom, that felt good.
Uranus Entered Gemini on April 25
My brain knows astrology isn't scientific. I enjoy it anyway. It's entertainment and self-care for my spiritual body.
For my sign, Aquarius, April 25 marked the end of a seven-year cycle of destabilization and the start of reinvention. I felt that, and it pushed me to spend the first few weeks asking deeper questions, taking stock of certain parts of myself, and reflecting on my future.
My Future Self Map
A new Future Self Map got crafted, one intentional thought at a time. The highlights:
-
My future self is a writer. I'm an established voice and creator, and now I want to write more efficiently.
-
My future self protects the line between her personal and professional life. She invests time and resources in her hobbies and pleasure time.
-
My future self is louder and more intentional about sharing her story and wisdom, so it can inspire more women.
-
My future self enjoys being in community.
Once the map was written, it was time to act on it. That's what made June so inspiring.
I Bought a National Park Pass
I travel a lot, all over the world. I'm good at being a tourist, so I decided to put that skill to use at home. I subscribed to the top tourism newsletter and bought a pass for our park system, then went on a few trips.
First, Frontenac National Park, where I hiked a steep hill (I wrote about this here, link to main character essay).
Then a weekend road trip to Bic National Park, where I took my mountain bike out for the first time in a few years.

And last Saturday, thanks to one of the tourism newsletters, I did something I hadn't done since college: a car scavenger rally. A full day retracing the old stagecoach road system from the early 1800s near where I was born. So much fun. I learned a lot.

Then I Hosted an Expert Series About GLP-1
That louder, more vocal Future Self showed up here. I put together an expert interview series with my weight-neutral colleagues on GLP-1 and what the main narrative is missing.
It's been a tremendous success, with a lot of a-ha moments.
I Opened My Online Community
Becoming the Future Self I mapped means taking aligned action. I want to be someone who enjoys community, so I opened a free online community for my clients (log in here if that’s you)
We meet once a month in the Self-Coaching Room, and on Monday mornings I go live with Open Mic to share a thought for the week ahead.
I Learned to Vibe Code
I first heard the term vibe coding in January and ignored it until last month, when it started showing up everywhere. Two weeks ago, on a rainy weekend, I sat down on my couch with Frasier on in the background, and Claude taught me how to do it.
If you run an online business, this is worth learning now. Look up MCP while you're at it. Between vibe coding and the Kajabi MCP, I built a new sales page on my website from scratch in six hours. Check it out here.
What's Forward in July
-
Friday, I leave for a 900 km road trip to Fjord-du-Saguenay in my dad's electric car. First time driving long distance in an EV, so that alone will be interesting.
-
July 8, I'm hosting a Quarterly Business Retreat for my alumni certification students and 1:1 advisory clients. If that's you, check your inbox.
-
I'm redesigning the Groundwork curriculum. Future Self Mapping is now how we teach mindset and body image. The new cohort starts the week of July 20.
-
It's strawberry season. Lots of picking and processing ahead.
And I almost forgot.
I'm Doing the Yap Challenge
Have you heard of the Yap Challenge with Jesse Jean? Worth a Google if not.
I joined a few of my alumni students, and together we're yapping on Instagram for the next 30 days. Stay tuned for the July Rewind and Forward to see what happened.
