The Thursday Sessions

The Thursday Sessions are a series of conversations on the underpinning of why we, as women, keep going back to wanting to shrink our bodies as the thing that finally lets us have the life we want. Moving forward together, stronger, in a non-diet approach to health, at the peak of the medicated weight loss era.

We're in a moment we'll remember.

The pendulum has swung from the heyday of the anti-diet movement in 2020 to now, completely overwhelmed by medicated weight loss.

Intuitive eating and #bodypositivity was everywhere, and it helped. But it addressed a surface problem. It gave language and permission. It didn't touch what sits underneath: how women are socialized, from the beginning, to relate to their own bodies as something to manage, fix, or shrink.

Today, we're living through the consequence of that. So many people went right back to what they'd left behind, this time reaching for GLP-1s as the quick fix toward feeling better.

That's what the Thursday Sessions are for: naming those underpinnings, and giving you the tools to work with them.

Four Thursdays in August

Every session runs live at 11:30 am EST.

Can't make it live? The recording is sent to you, available to watch until September 2.

Session 01

Health Goals and Behavior Change Forward

Thursday, August 6 @11:30 est

If weight doesn't equal health, how do we support people in their desire to feel better and be healthier? We will look at the most effective approach to behavior change for women who have spends years if not decades chasing health goals and discipline their way through health habits in the name of weight loss. How do you lead these women through the process of learning a new way to set goals and build sustainable health behaviors.

Session 2

Women's Relationship to Their Body

Thursday, August 13 @ 11:30 am est

Yes, body image is a fundamental driver of the desire to lose weight, and it goes well beyond body image. The fear of weight gain is the most frequent motivator of self-sabotaging & coping behaviors women encounter in a no-diet approach to health. The actual relationship to their body. What it means to live in a body you've been taught to negotiate with instead of live in and the solution to me through this fear.

Session 3

“I'm Not Enough” — The Self-Worth Challenge

Thursday, August 20 @11:30 am est

As we peel the layers in the process of behavior and identity change, the belief that has silently been leading our client is this - " I'm not enough" or what I branded as our enoughness. Why does the desire to shrink our bodies feel like the doorway to everything else, our worth, our confidence, our place in the world? We go underneath the behavior to where it actually starts and learn how to help women rebuild their sense of worth so they can free themselves from the capitalist systems directed at their body, age and beauty.

Session 4

Body Autonomy and Selling a Non-Diet Solution in a GLP Era

Thursday, August 27 @11:30 am est

How do we support a woman's bodily autonomy in GLP-1 era and support their choice, whatever it is, without steering her? And most important wow do you market and sell a non-diet coaching practice in a market saturated with GLP-1 marketing?

Let's Talk About Selling Quickly

Each session, I'll take about five minutes to talk about where this work goes deeper, the Non-Diet Coaching Certification and Groundwork. If it's relevant to you, I'll point you how we can work together.

I teach and practice ethical marketing because we can't sell the non-diet approach using the same tactics diet culture uses to sell weight loss.

We're doing it differently here. You're seeing it here, before you register.

Hi, I'm Stephanie Dodier

I’m a non-diet nutritionist, cognitive behavior coach and feminist business coach. I also been hosting the It's Beyond The Food Podcast for the last 480 episodes.

Before that? I like to say I have a PhD in diet culture.  I spent 25 years dieting—chasing the thin ideal body before finding HEAS and Intuitive eating.

I’ve worked with over 1000 women across 92 countries in the last 10 years not because I give quick fixes but because I solve for the root cause that the symptom you are experiencing is managing and teach what actually works long term.

Today, I lead the Non-Diet Coaching Certification, where I train health pros in the exact method you’ll preview in this class.
